SPEC HOMES

What a spec home is

A spec home is one we design and start building before it has a buyer. You get our quality and finishes without the long wait of a full custom build, and you can often walk through the home before you buy. Depending on the stage of construction, some selections may still be open. Each home above has its own page with the floor plan, the lot and how to set up a tour.

The homes are built on our plans: The Welles 2.0 in Lone Star Ranch, The Jane in Valnova, The Samantha in Terra View and The Samantha 2. The finished Valnova Bowers in the Eagle foothills is on the market now.

Bob announced it this way: "The Dean has been three years in the making. We needed the right property, the right view, and the right moment." Coming in spring 2027, The Dean will offer more than 6,000 sq ft in Valnova, with an oversized garage over a suspended slab for lower-level storage, an infinity-edge pool and a private putting and chipping green. What new homes does Bachman Custom Homes have for sale?

As of October 2026, our finished home on the market is The Valnova Bowers in Eagle, and we have four spec homes listed, including Welles 2.0 and Jane plan homes in Nampa and Eagle. Homes sell quickly and listings change, so please contact us or call 208-577-8794 for current availability.

What is the difference between a spec home and a custom home?

A spec home is designed and started by the builder before it has a buyer, so it moves in sooner and you can walk through it before you buy. A custom home is designed with you from the start on your lot or ours, so every room and finish fits your needs, but it takes longer.

Can I buy a lot and build with Bachman Custom Homes?

Yes. As of October 2026 we listed lots in Terra View and Valnova in Eagle and in LongBow Estates in Star. You choose the lot, start from one of our floor plans or a fully custom design, and we handle the build. Contact us for current lot availability.
