BOISE · ADA COUNTYWhy build a custom
home in Boise.
Boise is still the center of the Treasure Valley. The regional planning agency COMPASS estimated the city at 256,450 residents in April 2026, and Ada and Canyon counties together at 876,760, about 150,000 more people than the 2020 Census counted. That growth is why resale inventory feels picked over and why so many of the people who call us want a home designed around how they actually live, not whatever is listed this month.
What keeps people here is the outdoors at the edge of town. The City of Boise maintains 25 miles of Boise River Greenbelt pathway, and the Ridge to Rivers system adds more than 190 miles of foothill trails, according to the Bureau of Land Management. Bogus Basin is a short drive up the mountain. When we plan a Boise-area home, those things shape the design: a mudroom big enough for bikes and skis, a garage or RV bay for the toys, and windows aimed at the foothills.
Buildable land inside Boise city limits is limited and expensive, so many Boise buyers end up choosing a lot in the foothill and acreage communities just west and north of town. If you already own a parcel, we can build on your lot and handle the site work, permits and utilities with you.
