MERIDIAN · ADA COUNTYWhy so many
families choose Meridian.
Meridian is no longer Boise's quiet neighbor. COMPASS estimated it at 152,070 residents in April 2026, after adding 4,730 people in a single year, which makes it the second-largest city in Idaho behind Boise. It sits right in the middle of the valley: about 11 miles and 14 minutes from the Boise Airport, with quick access to I-84 for commutes east to Boise or west to Nampa.
Families come for the schools and the parks. Meridian is served by West Ada School District, which runs schools across Eagle, Star, Meridian and western Boise. Settlers Park alone covers 58 acres with youth ball fields, tennis and pickleball courts and a seasonal splash pad, and Kleiner Park sits next to The Village shopping and dining district. Meridian Main Street Market brings people downtown in the warm months.
Production builders offer a set list of plans in large subdivisions, and that works for many buyers. Our clients usually want something different: a home designed around how they live, with an RV bay, a second primary suite or a backyard built for entertaining. If you already own land in or near Meridian, we can build on your lot. If not, we'll show you lots in the communities just north and west of the city.
