Parade of Homes?
The Parade of Homes is a ticketed open house of new homes, run by local builder associations, where visitors walk through finished homes and judges and the public pick winners. We take part in two:
The Boise Parade of Homes is run by the Building Contractors Association of Southwestern Idaho, with a spring Parade in May and a fall Parade in October. The Snake River Valley Parade of Homes, also called the Canyon County Parade, is run by the Snake River Valley Building Contractors Association each June and covers homes in Canyon, Owyhee, Gem and Payette counties. Both judge homes by price category, and the Boise Parade adds a People's Choice vote.
