STAR · ADA AND CANYON COUNTIESWhy so many buyers
are building in Star.
No city COMPASS tracks has grown faster since 2020. The 2020 Census counted 11,107 people in Star; COMPASS estimated 24,950 in April 2026, a 131 percent increase in six years and about 14 percent in the last year alone. Star straddles the line between Ada and Canyon counties along the Boise River, which gives it a small-town feel with Eagle, Middleton and Meridian all close by.
That growth has brought amenities that weren't here a decade ago. Pavilion Park has a playground, splash pad, pickleball courts and a dog park, and the Hunter's Creek Sports Complex hosts youth sports. Star is served by West Ada School District, the same district as Eagle and Meridian. The Boise Airport is about 23 miles and 29 minutes away.
For a custom builder, Star's appeal is space. Buyers here often want room for a shop, an RV bay or a big backyard, and that is how many of our plans are drawn. If you already own a parcel in or around Star, we can build on your lot, including working through wells, septic and utilities where city services don't reach.
