A bright, welcoming coffee shop renovation.

First & Second Coffee Co. is a commercial coffee shop renovation by Bachman Custom Homes. We transformed the space into a bright, welcoming café with a long, light service counter and bar seating, tall storefront windows that pour in daylight, an arched display niche with open shelving and modern pendant lighting over the counter.

01 / THE PROJECT

A coffee shop that
invites you to stay.

A good coffee shop is part workplace, part living room. The space we renovated for First & Second Coffee Co. is designed around that: a long counter where baristas can work and guests can sit, lots of daylight from the storefront windows and soft, warm finishes that make people want to stay for a second cup.

Details that stand out in the finished space:

A long, light-colored service counter with dark cabinetry and a row of bar stools
An arched wall niche with open shelving for retail and display
Globe and ring pendant lights over the counter, plus track lighting

02 / WHY IT MATTERS

Small spaces,
big first impressions.

In a coffee shop, every foot counts. The counter has to fit the equipment and the workflow, seating has to feel comfortable without crowding, and the look has to match the brand from the sidewalk. That is the kind of planning we bring to every commercial construction project, whether it is a café or a full restaurant.

Because much of our framing, electrical and finish carpentry is done by our own team, we can keep a close eye on the details that customers notice.
